Before - Open Crawl Space Vents
Open crawl space vents allow for the outside air to easily enter a crawl space. Fluctuations in weather combined with the naturally damp and humid environment in a crawl space means a home is likely to have cold floors, higher humidity and a damp, musty smell.
Sealed Crawl Space Vents
We replaced all the open vents and installed airtight vent covers. Although the covers are only part of creating a healthy and dry crawl space environment - it's an important step!
A Challenging Crawl Space with Problems
This multi-level dirt floor crawl space was a challenge successfully met by our crew! The open vents were resulting in cold floors during the winter. In the summer the crawl space was damp and musty; the foul odour affected the entire home.
After - CleanSpace Liner
Our crew installed a Clean Space liner vapour barrier system; which totally encapsulates the crawl space. Our crew also applied moisture-resistant spray foam insulation to help make the home more energy efficient.
Dirt Floor Crawl Space Sump Pump
An open sump pump pit is an undesirable feature in homes: but especially when it's located within a dirt floor crawl space. Dirt and debris can easily enter the pit causing the pump to clog and malfunction. The open pit adds unwanted excess humidity in an already challenging environment.
Sump Pump in a Crawl Space After
Our crew installed the Triple Safeā¢ sump pump and pit liner; a sump pump system designed for crawl spaces. This pump is fully compatible with our complete crawl space vapor barrier system, which the home owners also had installed.
