A Humid and Unhealthy Environment

In this humid environment, the organic materials stored in the crawl space, as well as the wood beams and joists, are food for mould and fungus growth.

Failing Insulation and Other Problems

The high moisture content in this crawl space was soaking the fibreglass insulation, causing it to fall and fail. The existing ground vapour barrier was completely ineffective at keeping the moisture in the ground.

Hygrometer Reading

This hygrometer measures relative humidity. Mould, mildew and rot occur at 60% and above. This crawl space was well above acceptable levels.
