The home was built with a combination Basement Crawlspace.
Overall sub level was reading 78% humidity levels and needed attention.
The basement section shows signs of water leakage through wall cracks while the crawl space required full encapsulation to complete the waterproofing.
To finish off the project spray foam insulation was added to improve overall home comfort.
The project is a century old building built originally for multi unit housing that has been converted into a commercial property.
The owners of the business required additional on site storage in basement area. A combination of crawl space and basement was constructed. The crawl space has a brick floor and the basement is concrete. Both area showed signs of water seepage and high humidity.
A full basement waterproofing and crawl space encapsulation was used to finish the project.
Both areas are now suitable for storage of records and supplies.
The home was built with a combination basement and crawl space. Inspection revealed the crawl space has a dirt floor and the basement has a cement floor, both areas have concrete block foundation walls. Evidence showed signs of water seepage along all walls.
Humidity levels upon inspection were around 60% which is above levels to grow mold. There was a 10 foot crack in the floor that needed to be addressed. The home did not have insulation in the both areas which impacted the temperature levels in the home.
The home owner wished for a more comfortable and efficient home which begins in the basement/crawl space. A full water guard system including an Ultra Sump battery back up was used for the basement section and a full clean space encapsulation was used for the crawl space. To top off the job spray foam was applied to all walls from the headers to the floor.
The reduction of humidity and the inclusion of full insulation in both spaces will help improve home comfort for years to come. The battery back up system will give the home owner added protection should the home lose power during a storm.
