All around it has been a very good experience. The night our basement was finished it rained hard. It was so good to look in the morning in the areas we would normally see water laying and it was absolutely dry. It feels and smells so good now without the dampness. Bryan who came out was very informative and not the least bit pushy. He was an extremely nice person who I felt comfortable talking to in my home. When I got off the topic of the basement he talked with me and was NOT the least bit making me feel like "lets get back onto the subject of the basement so I can get this appointment over with". Hoping my instinct is correct and all goes as well as my appointment with Bryan I'll be happy.

First impressions! After owning our house for five years, every so often after heavy rainfall or when snow has finally started to melt, my wife and I normally could smell a musky smell threw ought the house coming from the crawl space. 8 months ago we were lucky to give birth to twins ( Boy and Girl ). I have finally decided to have this issue resolved so our babies don't breath in what might be happening underneath our home... I've found Advanced Basement Systems on google, seeing they were located in my area doing what I exactly wanted to be done in "the area of no return" I decide to call them for a estimate on renovating the crawl space.   I had the benefit of meeting Tom Blackburn yesterday at my home, Tom introduced himself and gave me some background information about the company he worked for, then suited up and dove into my crawl space with a smile saying call the fire department if I get stuck lol ( Somewhere I have never "ever" liked going since owning the house ) . Tom was very professional, he was cheerful and answered any questions or concerns I had, while being in the crawlspace he snapped about 20 pictures of all angles, even areas I was not able to get to since owning the property. He setup his laptop, showed me pictures of the issues happening and then explained the different options I was able to pick depending on what I felt needed to be done. Tom was not pushy as I expected him to be.. He gave my wife and I time to think about what we wanted to do while he waited outside.   After debating we decide to go with the clean out and the durable white wrap inside to seal the home away from the ground moisture.. So far this is where were are , this is the first contractor we have ever hired to do work at our house. From videos and word of mouth I feel confident we will be happy with the results' I will check back in and update how everything goes!

Our service person was Mike Modde. He explained everything to me step by step. Mike also answered any questions I had. My husband I believe met with Rick Ablenas who came to the house while I was away, so I wasn’t around to hear about the way the repair would be done. Every question I asked Mike was very happy to answer; I hope I wasn’t a pest. Mike was very knowledgeable and told me that he had been doing this for several years. I could see that he enjoyed doing this kind of work with the detail and care he took while fixing the wall. Mike was concerned about the loud noise the jack hammer would make so that it wouldn’t bother me and that he would try not to take too long. Mike was concerned about my cat that the noise wouldn’t spook him. Mike had to take the bottom step off and he made sure that it wouldn’t be too hard for my husband to put back on, he also secured the second bottom step so when we walked on it that it wouldn’t collapse and we wouldn’t get hurt. After Mike was done he explained about the drying time and when the bottom step should be put back on. When we need more repairs done we definitely will be calling Advanced Basement Systems again. We are very satisfied and happy with the job. The inspector was thorough and gave us a number of options as to how we could repair within our budget. Installation team were very friendly and helpful with any questions we had!
